Is the song "Time of My Life" too slow for a grand march?

My fiance and I want to start the dance like they did in the movie at the final dance (since its my favorite movie) and then once the beat actually starts bring the bridal party on the floor and go into the grand march. Him and I like the idea, although one of the groomsmen says its too slow. From what I can remember not every grand march song is a techno club song...and the song does pick up so it wouldn't be a cheesy slow dance for the grand march, I hope?
