Why are Pablo Pico paintings worth so much?

I mean worth money, they are truly great works and i am not saying they are horrible in any way. I was just reading an article that said the 5 of the world's top 10 most expensive paintings are by Pablo Pico. What makes his art worth so much money compared to other great artists?
