Why won't my Mac connect to the internet?

Our Mac was working just fine yesterday but now, when you try to connect, it says it can't. We are connected to the Airport and it has a full 4 bars... We went into the Network settings and went thru the TCP/IP stuff and found out that it doesn't have a router number. Is there a way we can find the router number?
