In America at least, why do people act like there are no basis for stereotypes?

that's true and that's what i would like every race to understand. why get angry if you're just going to bring truth to them? it makes absolutely no sense to me. i would just like for people to leave stereotypes to only those who bring truth to them because not all deserve to be seen that way.
